1.About the App

ScanChamp: PDF Doc Scanner is a mobile application that helps users scan, import, edit, organize, protect, sign, and export documents in digital formats, including PDF and image files.

Depending on the App version and your subscription status, features may include document scanning, automatic edge detection, image enhancement, multi-page scanning, document editing, OCR, AI-assisted document tools, smart file naming, folders, search, e-signatures, export, sharing, and cloud sync.

We may update, change, add, or remove features from time to time.

2.App stores and third-party terms

The App may be available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the App may also be subject to the terms, rules, and policies of Apple, Google, and any other applicable platform provider.

We do not control the Apple App Store, Google Play, app store billing, app store accounts, payment methods, refund decisions, or subscription management systems operated by Apple or Google.

3.License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on compatible devices for personal or business purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

4.User documents and content

You retain all rights to documents, images, files, signatures, notes, annotations, OCR text, folders, and other content that you create, scan, import, edit, store, export, or share through the App (“User Content”).

You are responsible for your User Content and for making sure that you have the right to scan, store, edit, sign, export, and share it.

In the current version of the App, document scanning, editing, OCR, AI-assisted document features, and document storage are designed to be processed locally on your device. We do not receive the content of your documents unless you deliberately send it to us, for example as part of a support request.

If you choose to export, share, back up, or sync documents using third-party services, your User Content may be transferred to or processed by those third-party services according to their own terms and privacy policies.

You are responsible for keeping backup copies of important documents.

5.Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

• violate applicable laws or third-party rights;
• scan, store, edit, sign, or share documents that you have no right to use;
• bypass subscriptions, paywalls, access controls, or security features;
• interfere with the App’s operation, security, servers, or networks;
• upload, share, or transmit malware, harmful code, or abusive content;
• misuse the App in a fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful way.

6.OCR, AI-assisted features, and document output

The App may include OCR, smart file naming, document classification, summarization, simplification, or other automated document tools.

These features are provided for convenience only. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You should review all OCR results, AI-assisted outputs, file names, summaries, signatures, edits, and exported documents before relying on them or sharing them.

The App does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice.

7.Electronic signatures

The App may allow you to add a drawn, typed, imported, or image-based signature to a document.

You are responsible for determining whether a document signed or edited through the App is legally valid or acceptable for your intended purpose. Some documents may require specific legal formalities, identity verification, qualified electronic signatures, witnesses, notarization, original paper copies, or other requirements.

8.Free version and paid features

The App may offer free features, paid features, subscriptions, free trials, introductory offers, promotional offers, or other in-app purchases.

Prices, plans, trial periods, renewal terms, and included features may vary by country, platform, promotion, and time. The exact offer shown to you before purchase will apply.

Paid features may include, depending on the offer, access to advanced scanning tools, OCR, AI-assisted document features, export options, cloud sync, document organization tools, ad removal, or other premium functionality.

We may change subscription plans, prices, paid features, trial availability, or promotional offers from time to time in accordance with applicable law and app store rules.

9.Subscription Terms

ScanChamp may offer auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Before completing a purchase, you will see the available plan, price, billing period, trial period if applicable, renewal terms, and included features in the App or in the relevant app store purchase screen.

If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play:

• payment is charged by Apple or Google through your app store account;
• your subscription is managed by Apple or Google through your app store account;
• subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period according to the rules of the relevant app store;
• deleting the App does not cancel your subscription;
• cancellation must be managed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings;
• after cancellation, you may continue using paid features until the end of the period already paid for, unless otherwise stated by Apple, Google, or applicable law.

10.Refund Policy

If you purchased a subscription or in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies and applicable law.

If you purchased a subscription or in-app purchase through Google Play, refund requests are handled by Google according to Google Play policies and applicable law.

We do not receive your full payment details from Apple or Google and cannot guarantee that a refund request will be approved by the relevant app store.

If you experience a technical issue with the App or believe that paid features were not activated correctly, please contact us at support@scanchamp.app. We will review the issue and help where possible.

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that you may have under applicable law.

11.Paid Services and Contract Information

Paid features, subscriptions, trials, and promotional offers are offered inside the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Before completing a purchase, the relevant purchase screen will show the main terms of the offer, including the product, plan, price, billing period, trial period if applicable, renewal terms, and included features.

The contract for paid access is concluded when you confirm the purchase through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

Payments, receipts, refunds, cancellation, and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google according to their own terms, policies, and applicable consumer protection laws.

12.Advertising

The free version of the App may display advertising, including banners, native ads, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, app open ads, or other ad formats.

The App uses Google AdMob to provide advertising features. Ads may be contextual or personalized depending on your location, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law.

Paid versions or specific paid plans may remove some or all ads, depending on the offer shown in the App.

13.Cloud sync and third-party integrations

The App may allow you to export, back up, or sync documents through third-party services such as iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or other supported providers.

If you connect a third-party service, your use of that service is subject to the third party’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not control third-party cloud providers and are not responsible for their availability, security, storage, retention, or processing practices.

You may revoke access through the App settings, device settings, cloud provider settings, or account permissions where available.

14.Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, interface, trademarks, logos, graphics, icons, text, features, and related materials, is owned by Icecream Apps Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or any intellectual property rights to you.

15.Availability and updates

We aim to keep the App useful, stable, and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Some features may depend on your device, operating system, app store, internet connection, subscription status, third-party services, or the latest App version.

16.Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the App will meet your specific requirements, that OCR or AI-assisted results will be accurate, that documents will be accepted by third parties, or that files will never be lost or corrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Icecream Apps Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, document loss, business interruption, device issues, or loss of goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.

17.Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete the App from your device, but deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active app store subscription.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the App or specific features if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created legal or security risks, abused the App, attempted to bypass paid features, or used the App unlawfully.

18.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

Before filing any claim, please contact us at support@scanchamp.app so that we can try to resolve the issue informally.

19.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be made available in the App or on our website.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
